Four Waconian Scientists recently travelled to The Grange School to take part in the STEM Olympics!

The competition, designed to test pupil knowledge and skills in the STEM subjects: Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths, saw 24 teams of Year 9 pupils from schools across the North West come together to compete in a series of fun yet challenging events.

From rat dissection to rocket launching, computer coding to crime scene investigation, the level of competition was high, with final scorings coming very close.

CHS team members Isa, Evie, Imogen and Oliver put their all into the challenges, scoring 2nd place in the the rocket launching challenge!

Mr Jon Mitchell, CHS Chemistry Teacher said: “The team performed really well at the event and were great representatives of CHS. They should be very proud!”
