High Potential Programme: Academic
The Academic High Potential Programme seeks to ensure that the School’s most academically able pupils achieve their full potential through a range of activities, competitions, talks, informal discussion groups and attendance at events outside School.
Key features of the Programme are dedicated ‘CHScholars Form Time’ each cycle and personalised mentoring from a member of the School’s senior academic staff to review academic progress and involvement in the School’s Academic Enrichment Programme.
Participation in the Programme is by invitation and constitutes an accolade of which CHScholars are rightly proud. In Year 7, pupils are selected on the basis of their performance in the Entrance Examination, Interview and their current School Report.
CHScholars are expected to demonstrate a high level of commitment both to their academic studies and to the CHScholars Programme. Continued participation in the Programme is dependent upon pupil progress and is reviewed at the end of each academic year.
