CHS Celebrates A Level Results Day 2023
The Class of 2023 were welcomed back onto site to collect their A Level Results and celebrate amongst loved ones. The day not only marked the end of a 14 year journey for many students, but also the beginning of new and exciting endeavours and opportunities!
Year 13 collected their results on Thursday, with almost three quarters of grades awarded A* to B grades, with top results leading them onto their firm University choice such as Newcastle, Bristol, Liverpool, Oxford and Cambridge studying a variety of subjects. Popular courses choices this year are Business, Economics, Law, Medicine and Politics.

(From left to right) Daniel, Oli, Max and Joab are really pleased with their results. Daniel is heading to Exeter University to study Law after receiving 1 A* and 2 As, Oli is attending University of York to study Environmental Science.
Max and Joab are both studying in London, Max will be attending London School of Economics to study Finance after securing 4 A*s and Joab will be attending Imperial College London to begin his journey studying Mechanical Engineering with 1 A* and 3 As. Congratulations boys.
Both Sarah and Izzy are all smiles as excitement builds to begin their new academic ventures. Sarah (left) is heading to Northumbria University to study Fashion whilst Izzy will be joining St Johns’s College at Oxford University to study Art History after gaining 3 A*s in Classics, English Literature and History.
Hugo is very happy and relieved with his results, and will be starting at St Andrews University in two weeks time to study Mathematics, having secured 3 A*s. Huge congratulations.

Both Chiara and Imogen are going on to study Chemistry having both received 3 As, whilst Artemis is applying for Optometry, Grace is heading for the Art Foundation course at MMU and Elsa will be going on to study Textiles. Well done girls!
Huge well done to Will, securing 3 A*s and is heading to Liverpool University to begin his Veterinary Science course.
Both John and Rory are heading off to start new ventures after being at CHS since Juniors! John (left) is heading off to Birmingham University to study PPE with a Distinction and 2 Bs whilst Rory is heading to St Andrews University to study Medicine after gaining 3 As.
Head pupil Alyssa lead by example after securing 3A*s and 1 A and is excited to start her Human, Social, Political Science course at Cambridge University.
Tom (pictured with sister and Old Waconian Beth) is really thrilled with his results, and is heading to Northumbria University to study Sports Business Management!
