Our Infant & Junior School is a wonderfully encouraging place for children to learn, develop, make lasting friendships and form happy memories. It provides an outstanding platform for a lifetime of sustained achievement and success through the provision of a well-rounded education.
Specialist subject teaching, educational visits and opportunities for enrichment create enthusiastic, capable and confident young people who can achieve.
The main point of entry into Infant and Junior School is the Reception class. A child will start School in the September after their 4th birthday.
For entry to Reception, assessments take place throughout the autumn and spring terms. Children will work alongside experienced staff in an informal setting to assess early literacy skills, counting and numerical awareness. Assessments for Infant and Junior pupils will take place on Monday 18th January 20201. Children may be assessed at any time of year subject to places being available. Offers of places will be made as soon as possible after the children have been seen. Children who are admitted to the Infant Department will transfer automatically to Year 3. Transfer to the Senior School is not automatic although the vast majority of pupils continue into Year 7.
