Congratulations to our Sixth Form students who are embarking upon the next step of their chosen careers with 79% receiving grades A*- B at A Level.
The students are now preparing themselves for their first term at some of the country’s top universities, including Cambridge, Bath, Warwick and Leeds, and will embark upon sought-after industry apprenticeships in Economics and Business. A large number of students are going on to study Engineering and other STEM subjects.
Head, Mr Neil Smith, said: “I am delighted that, once again, CHS students have achieved outstanding A Level and Pre U results, allowing them to move forward to their chosen destinations with great confidence. These results are the product of sustained endeavours on their part, and it has been especially gratifying to see the Class of 2019 achieve these tremendous results whilst also fully engaging with all that the School has to offer beyond the classroom.”
5 CHS students were awarded an outstanding 3x A*s or higher, with 6 students achieving at least one D1 (a grade higher than A*) at Pre-U.
Among many highlights, Jason Brown and Head Boy Raphael McMahon achieved the equivalent of 4xA* each. Adam Wolowczyk was awarded 3A* and an A, with Head Girl Lily Danson and Sanjay Mehta receiving the equivalent of 3 A* grades each.
Building upon CHS’s strong reputation in recent years for Classics and Latin, this year was no exception with 100% of its candidates achieving A*-A. German candidates also achieved 100% A*-A.
Congratulations to our Lower Sixth students too who are celebrating 100% A*-B grades for the EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) with 7 students being awarded full marks.
