Well done to the U12 and U13 netball teams who both won their Regional Finals match in the SnS National Cup. The results of these matches mean CHS netball is in the top 4 in the country and will now face opposition from the South East in the National Semi-Finals.
The U12 team played Withington Girls School winning 30-26. The team consists of Maya Thompson (Captain), Luiseach O’Neal (Vice Captain), Aleeza Bani, Lisette Clare, Daisy Lees, Fay Martin, Francesca Porter, Holly Russell, and Martha Thompson.
The U13 team beat The Grange School 51-26. The team consists of Maisie Chrimes(Captain), Kiska McQuillan (Vice Captain), Hannah Bagshaw, Phoebe Fisher, Zara Gross, Layla Jones, Annabel Large, Olivia Leslie, and Daisy Saunders.
CHS is one of two schools that have more than one age group left.
Miss Barber said “All players involved have trained extremely hard and deserve the success they have achieved so far. I am so proud of the way they have played, it has been a pleasure to watch.”
In addition to this massive achievement, the combined U13s squad which has a mixture of Y7 and Y8 are in the National Semi-Final for the ISNC.
CHS netball has never had 3 teams through to top 4 in the country in the same season before.
