CHS return to Manchester Art Fair
CHS will once again be amongst professional artists as the Art Department heads to Manchester Art Fair (MAF) 2023 to showcase student artwork.
Thousands of visitors are set to attend the three-day event and with over 170 UK and international individual artists, galleries and artist-led spaces.
CHS has exhibited at the Fair every year since 2015 and remains the only school to be partnered with the event. Adam Hayley, Head of Art & Design said; “This is once again a great opportunity for our students to experience the atmosphere of an event as big as MAF and showcase their work to thousands of visitors. Attending the event helps our students improve their communication skills to eloquently speak about their work to visitors and to help inspire new techniques in the classroom, influenced by artists with different backgrounds, views and styles.”
Director of MAF, Sophie Helm said, “We can’t wait to bring the community built by Manchester Art Fair and The Manchester Contemporary back together in November.”
This year’s event will take place from Friday 17 November (for a preview evening) to Sunday 19 November. To secure your place, book your ticket here.
Our Art department once again secured outstanding grades this summer at both GCSE and A Level (95% 9-6 and 82% A* – B respectively) with students leaving for top Art and Design courses at the likes of Glasgow School of Art, Goldsmiths and Manchester School of Art.
