Good luck to CHS’s U13 boys’ swimming team who will compete in the English Schools Swimming Association National Finals at London’s Olympic Park Aquatic Centre this Saturday.
During the Northwest qualifying heats at Everton Park Jacob Atkinson (Captain), Finn Bradley, Josh Chalk and Max Cooper performed brilliantly, achieving a time of 2.06.87 in the Freestyle Relay which gave them a National ranking of 24th. In the Medley Relay, their time of 2.24.07 placed them 20th in the country.
Preparing for Saturday’s event the team have been training in School and taking part in training sessions at Stockport’s Grand Central to give them experience of a full-length 50m pool.
CHS Swimming Coach, Mrs Amanda Vernon said: “The standard will be incredibly high and the boys have done a sterling job gaining a place in both races. We wish them all the best for another superb performance at the weekend and they will certainly make CHS proud!”
