Our U13 girls and U15 boys swimming team have qualified for finals of Nationals at the Olympic Pool in London.
Ashley Donaldson, Matthew Watson, Max Cooper, and Jacob Atkinson will be taking part in the Inters Boys freestyle and medley at the finals.
This is the second time that U15 boys have made it to the finals at the Olympic pool. They have shown hard work and dedication to get this far.
Olivia Leslie, Maddie Bowcott-Mcgrath, and Beth Robinson and Sofia Hankey made the finals after competing at Everton Sports Park where they came first in the freestyle relay with a time of 2.07.06 and also came third in the Medley relay with a time of 2.25.63.
The U13 girls will be taking part in the Junior Girls freestyle race at the finals in London.
After the competition in Everton, Mrs Vernon was delighted with the girls’ achievements. She said: “The standard is very high and our time to beat Merchant Taylors could not have been much tighter! Fingers crossed that the girls are rewarded with a place in the Finals in London.
“We went with the U13 Boys last year and they really embraced the experience of swimming in an Olympic pool.”
The finals will be taking place on Saturday 17 November. Anyone who wishes to come and support our teams is welcome.
