CHS’s Year 9 netballers took a trip to London to be flag-bearers for The England Roses netball team.
Travelling to London’s Copper Box Arena for The Roses’ home leg of the Vitality Netball International Quad Series match vs the Australian Diamonds, CHS waved the flags of England and their opponents in an opening ceremony before watching the game.
Joining England and Australia in the competition, were South Africa and reigning Quad Series champions New Zealand.
After the match the girls met the players and Roses’ Head Coach Tracey Neville.
The game was the Roses’ last international series before battling for gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
CHS Netball Coach, Miss Olivia Barber said: “It was a great day out, the girls really enjoyed it and it was good for them to see the professionals in action.”
