Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow For Altruistic Marie
Year 3 pupil Marie displayed her altruistic side this term at CHS.
After watching a video of a little girl with cancer, Marie felt inspired to do something to help.
Marie started to grow her hair with plans of cutting it off when it got long enough and donating it to The Little Princess Trust.
While she was growing her hair, Marie realized she could do even more to support people who have lost their hair and, with the help of her mum, Marie started styling her hair differently every Friday in the run up to cutting her hair to raise as much money as she could.
Marie donated a huge 45cm of hair to be made into a wig and raised £1,180 to help more wigs be made for people who need them. Marie said she is ‘very happy’ with her new hair and the amount she has raised for charity.
