The Juniors enjoyed a splash and success when they took part in their latest Swimming Gala.
Taking place in the pool at CHS, all pupils in Years 3 to Year 6 took part in the Junior House competition and put on a fantastic display of all they’d learned during their regular swimming lessons.
As well as speed, the competition gave the swimmers chance to perfect their aquatic skills across a variety of strokes and improve their confidence in the water.
CHS Junior School Deputy Head, Mr Malcolm Johnson said: “It was wonderful to see some superb swimming, great teamwork and a real can do attitude with all our swimmers.”
Watts were winners of the Year 5 and Year 6 swimming shield.
Heywood were swimmers of the day, winning the Y3 & 4 shield as well as brand new, overall prize, the house swimming trophy – awarded to the house with the highest score after adding together the individual and house points.
Well done to everyone who took part.
