Congratulations to Sixth Form and martial arts student Jacob who has successfully defended his world titles at the 9th WKC World Championships.
Competing at the annual event in Portugal, Jacob also added further prizes to his titles list, returning with 6 gold medals after winning all sections he competed in.
Performing in the U18 age groups, Jacob impressed the judges with his Hardstyle, Traditional Weapons, and Creative Weapons Katas. Showing great contribution, Jacob also helped his team take their titles in the Junior Traditional Weapons and Open Weapons 3-man Katas.
As a surprise, Jacob’s karate Master entered Jacob in the U18s Musical Weapons Kata with music selected for him by his team-mates; ‘Greased Lightning’ after learning he is currently rehearsing for CHS’s Musical Theatre Production, Grease!
