Our Junior School Pupils are enjoying cricket season playing in Games lessons, lunchtime and after-school clubs, practices and competitive fixtures.
The U11 AJIS team made an excellent start to the season by winning their opening match against local rivals Stockport Grammar School in the final over a very close match.
The team then progressed to the semi-final of the AJIS cup where they were beaten by a very strong King’s Macclesfield team.
Mr Mason said: “The team was chasing an extremely unlikely 158 to win the match, team CHS bated superbly, only coming up short in the last few over and reaching a very respectable total of 132.”
The highlight of the season for our Junior cricketers has been winning the Plate Competition at the Manchester Grammar School 6-a-side tournament.
