CHS’s altruistic Junior School pupils enjoyed their annual Charity Day, raising over £4500 for Barnardo’s Coronavirus Appeal.
Dressing in Victorian costumes, they learned about the work of Dr Barnardo before walking, running, cycling, dancing, skating and even litter-picking sponsored miles as part of the ‘CHS vs Three Peaks Challenge.’
CHS’s star bakers got creative in the kitchen too, selling cupcakes to friends and family.
Mrs Sargent, CHS Infant & Junior School Teacher (pictured) said: “We’ve had some great Charity Fun Days in the Junior School in previous years, however the children and their families amazed us all this year with their enthusiasm, imagination and commitment in overcoming the challenge of fundraising from home. A huge thank you to everyone for being involved and showing such fantastic support!”
