A new Sixth Form Art Bursary has been made possible thanks to a generous donation from a North West art lover.
The new Art Bursary covers all fees for one student as well as a contribution towards transport costs, the cost of uniform and participation in an overseas Art Trip plus a focused pastoral support system to help the students fully participate in Sixth Form life.
It’s a fantastic opportunity for a talented artist who has attended a local state school to join CHS for the Sixth Form. The department regularly showcases its student work at high profile events and has been the only School to exhibit at Manchester Art Fair for the last 4 years.
Sixth Form Art has always maintained a high profile with pupils going on to study at the UK’s top Art and Design Universities, including Central St Martins, University of the Creative Arts and Goldsmiths.
The Bursary will be awarded to individuals whose family can demonstrate financial need. More information about this can be found on our website.
Students wishing to apply are required to submit a one-page application letter to the Head of Admissions detailing their areas of interest and future aspirations. Applicants must also attach a separate PDF file of digital images showcasing five pieces of your own artwork that best describes your artistic style. The application deadline is Friday 15th March 2019. A number of applicants will be invited to interview and asked to bring a physical portfolio of work. Anyone wishing to find out more about this Bursary should contact the Admissions Team admissions@chschool.co.uk.
