Students in Year 11 are looking forward to becoming the first cohort of Sixth Formers to set foot in the School’s new Sixth Form Centre after 42% received GCSE grades awarded at 9-8.
The Sixth Form Centre will officially open its doors in three weeks’ time when the students will join the Lower Sixth to embark upon CHS’s enriching career Pathways programme to further their studies across a variety of subjects
Once again achieving 100% GCSE pass rate, more than 63% of CHS grades achieved were 9-7; 5 students were rewarded for their hard work with an impressive 8 x grade 9s or higher. 2 students received grade 9s in all relevant subjects.
Topping the School’s results table, Siân Talbot and Elizabeth Fisher led the way achieving 9 in each of their subjects. Beth Harrison and Beck Johnson received 9x 9s and 8, with Adi Karni attaining 9x 9s and 7 (adding to her GCSE grade 9 in Hebrew attained last year).
Cheadle Hulme School Head, Mr Neil Smith, said: “It is wonderful to see our Year 11 students achieve such excellent results, and I know how proud they will be of their achievements. The reformed GCSE and IGCSE qualifications are hugely demanding, and once again our students have been immensely successful in meeting these demands. They can now look forward to a stimulating and challenging programme of study in the Sixth Form, something which I know they will respond to in an equally positive fashion.”
