CHS’s U11s were invited to the University of Manchester to take part in a hockey event, featuring Olympic gold medallist, Sam Quek.
The boys and girls from CHS’s hockey A teams had the opportunity to meet Sam, ask her questions, and play against her in a match.
After the session, the pupils were given the chance to hold her gold medal while she posed for selfies and signed autographs.
CHS Junior School P.E co-ordinator, Mrs Stephanie Walker said: “This was a fantastic opportunity for the teams and they were all inspired by Sam’s journey and to hear of her determination and hard work to get where she is today.”
