Reception had a great time on their trip to Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre. They loved learning all about the night sky in the inflatable planetarium and saw stars, constellations, and planets.
A virtual rocket ride to Mars enabled the pupils to explore and discover what the Red Planet is like. They collected samples to bring back to Earth and became space scientists to solve space puzzles.
Jenson in RC said: “I loved seeing the stars because they make patterns.”
The pupils were amazed by the size of the giant Lovell Telescope. They learned about how the big dish helps to collect special information for the scientists to learn more about all the planets and the stars.
Arabella in RC said: “The Telescope is so big and moves around so the scientist can see all the sky.”
