Internationally renowned English rugby player Heather Fisher has been visiting the School to work with the Sports Scholars and students who are performing at the highest level; such as internationally and nationally.
Head of Upper School, Mr Peter Tann, invited Heather to the School as he believes she can: “Provide an insight into a high performing athlete and can help to show the students how to balance academic studies, pressures and decisions. In addition, she can offer advice on lifestyle and body image.
She is inspirational and has shown true resilience in her field. She helps to show the students that they need to be true to themselves and not just be the way other people want them to be.”
Thanks to funding from the CHS Parents Association, Heather has been helping students to visualise and be able to play even better as a team. She has worked with the U16 and U15 Boys’ Rugby team and had a chat with the Year 9 hockey team. Heather has also been providing mentorship by working with individual students who had asked for help with certain techniques, ranging from the Junior School to the Senior School.
