Seventeen Waconians Shine in Netball Trials

CHS is thrilled to share that after much hard work and dedication, Waconian netballers have once again earned spots on prestigious Netball franchises!

This year, a fantastic 17 girls have successfully trialled for franchises such as Manchester Thunder, Leeds Rhinos and Nottingham Forest, across the Senior, U16, U15, U13 and U12 teams.

Miss Leanne Thomas, CHS Netball coach says: “We are extremely proud of all of our CHS netballers who have been successful in their franchise trials this year. Each of the players have devoted so much time and effort on and off the court to improve their game. They strive to be better every session and take every opportunity to learn. They are truly deserving of all their success and we have no doubt that they will continue to make us proud. They are fantastic role models for any aspiring netballers at CHS.”

Sixth Formers Ava & Martha made it onto Manchester Thunder Senior Team, whilst Daisy secured a spot with Leeds Rhinos Seniors and Rhianna with Nottingham Forest.

Alice and Daisy have been selected for Manchester Thunder’s U15s whilst Thea successfully trialled for Leeds Rhinos U16s.

Mehna and Anna are pleased to be part of Leeds Rhinos U13s team, whilst Olivia, Zara, Poppy & Eleanor have made it onto Manchester Thunder’s U13s.

Finally, Poppy, Darcy, Isla and Millie all successfully trailed for Manchester Thunder’s U12s.

A fabulous display of the Waconian values endeavour and resilience, huge well done all.
