Waconians Lucy Roberts, Caitlin Polley and Lauren Jones have been selected to receive one of Physiofit‘s Sporting Star awards 2018.
Physiofit is a phsio treatment and rehabilitation clinic for athletes based in Manchester.
The judging panel, which included Former England Cricket Captain, Michael Vaughan, made several Gold, Silver and Bronze awards. Having such a high standard of applicants made it difficult for Physiofit to choose their winners.
The awards were judged on current performances, future potential and references.
Lucy Roberts received a Gold award due to her achievement and commitment to waterskiing. Lucy recently competed for GB in the European Championships and came 4th in the trick competition. She has shown immense determination and has come back strong from a series of injuries.
Caitlin Polley has been awarded a Silver award for her success in playing for England Hockey U16s in the European Championships that took place this summer.
Physiofit continue to work with Lauren Jones who shows commitment and dedication to balance both her school work and demanding training as a gymnast. She continues to be part of the successful England Gymnastics team.
All the awards include a Physiofit sports specific screening which helps identify and correct any weaknesses and restrictions they might have, free access to any of the Physiofit core classes, Physiofit kit and different further levels of free access to physio and sports rehabilitation.
