The Class of 2023 Graduate!
The energy was electric as the Class of 2023 marked their graduation – some of them after 13 years at CHS!
Friends, families and tutors were in attendance to celebrate the class as they took to the stage to receive certificates and awards.
Head Pupils Josh , Alyssa and Natasha expressed thanks to their teachers and tutors for the support they have given them over the years – as well as congratulating their fellow classmates on all they have achieved during their time at CHS. “What makes our year group particularly special is how close the year is, and the wide variety of personalities and aspirations that can be found in the year. Despite missing out on two years of the Senior School experience due to Covid, I believe we only grew closer in Sixth Form and really took the new experience in our stride.”
Special prizes followed, recognising specific pupils for their achievements within a subject or Co-curricular club.
Form Tutors then shared a few words of wisdom and invited their classes to the stage to receive certificates from the Head, Mr Neil Smith. Form Tutor, Mrs Bernie Girolami gave the students a final piece of advice: “As you set out into the world, try to always see the positive side of any situation. Also, be confident. You are equipped with the skills necessary to achieve great things, so believe in yourself.”
The rain held off just long enough for the Class to enjoy chatting and taking photos outside the Sixth Form Centre, before jumping into coaches and heading to their Leavers meal at the Etihad Stadium.
