CHS’s music ensembles are celebrating more success after 3 groups won first prize in their classes at the Alderley Edge Music Festival.
During the first weekend of the annual event, musicians in CHS’s strings groups put in especially strong performances when the School’s Orchestra came first in their class.
Representing music across the age groups, CHS’s Senior String Quartet also took first place with the Junior String Quartet taking second prize.
There was further success for CHS’s wind instrumentalists when the Senior Brass Ensemble were presented with a silver cup for first prize in their group.
Students from CHS also picked up prizes in 4 individual rounds of the competition across a variety of categories.
