Amena Qadiri and Emilia Coles represented CHS on a one day visit to Auschwitz yesterday as part of the ‘Lessons from Auschwitz’ project run by the Holocaust Educational Trust.
The Holocaust Educational Trust aims to educate young people from every background about the Holocaust and important lessons to be learned for today.
Accompanied by Miss Boughey, and 200 students from the North West, the Waconians visited Auschwitz and Birkenau for an informative and emotional day.
Later on in the year the Amena, Emilia and Miss Boughey will run a series of school and community based projects to share their experience and knowledge of the Holocaust following on from their involvement in the day.
