Waconians strut their stuff and raise funds doing it!

Members of the CHS Community came together in a fun Zumba Fundraiser, raising over £300 – all in aid of CHS’s 2023 Sports tour to Malaysia & Barbados!

Senior pupils and staff showcased their best dance moves during Mrs Vernon’s 50 minute ‘zumbathon’, to raise funds for the Senior School’s Sport Tour to Malaysia & Barbados which takes place later in the year.

Once the School bell rang at 3:45, music bounced from speakers in the Gym and Waconian dancers gathered to break a sweat and raise some serious funds!

CHS Teacher of PE and Games and Zumba fundraiser organiser, Mrs Amanda Vernon said: “The Zumba class was to raise money to buy some kit for the Sports Tour. We had 45 pupils and staff attend to dance their way through some challenging routines involving Salsa, Reggaeton, Cumbia and Merengue. Everyone had great fun joining together, and it boosted everyone’s wellbeing.“
