All children have a natural curiosity and a desire to learn and from this foundation we help children to grow into confident, capable, enthusiastic young people with respect for their world and for those with whom they share it.
Parents often ask, "What is special about CHS?" The answer is the quality of relationships between pupils and teachers and consistently high standards of teaching across all ages and subjects. Research demonstrates the single most influential factor affecting outcomes for children is the quality of teaching they receive. I believe this is particularly important in the 3-11 age group, where teachers work in loco parentis.
We recognise that a child’s learning is most enduring and successful when that child is happy and secure. From starting school aged 4, when pupils follow the EYFS curriculum and begin their exciting journey of learning, we offer rich and exhilarating experiences to ensure that learning is purposeful and meaningful. A creative curriculum allows our children to be engaged and to become independent learners and thinkers.
