Sixth Form Life
“Students leave CHS full of confidence , empathy and well prepared to improve the real word following their graduation” James, Class of 2020
Every student is valued in a diverse and inclusive Sixth Form community
We understand that students are older and more independent – but there are still people on hand to guide and help as they navigate exams and what lies beyond school. To reflect this independence, our dedicated Sixth Form centre provides students with space for both project work and independent study, a Sixth Form café and space for socialising with friends.
Preparing for life beyond CHS
A major aspect of Sixth Form life is to support the students as they transition from school to university or the world of work. We deliver this through our Future Self Programme and a series of Beyond CHS Lectures which are typically focused around the themes of Health and Wellbeing, Living in the Wider World and Relationships and where possible delivered by an Old Waconian.
The networking and careers advice delivered under the Future Self programme is backed up by our online platform CHS Community, a professional networking platform for Sixth Form students, alumni and parents. Through the platform OWs can reach out for advice, work experience, help with CVs and mentoring.
