Our Ethos and Mission
Our School was built by free-thinking philanthropists in 1855 to provide a liberal, inclusive co-education to orphans and necessitous children.
To this day, we inspire every Waconian to use their CHS experience to make a positive lifelong contribution to our world.Â
Our mission and vision will be achieved through a culture characterised by compassion, curiosity and joy, built around connections with people, our community and our heritage.
We passionately believe that an inclusive coeducation has never been more important – where pupils embrace difference and learn the value of respecting new and diverse ways of thinking.
