Teacher Training Opportunities

School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) Programme

A School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) is more important than ever in supporting the training and recruitment of excellent teachers.

SCITT programmes are aimed at both new graduates and career changers and enable a new generation of teachers to benefit from highly practical, school-based training. It is an employed route to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and runs in conjunction with state school partners; it is assessed and verified, as the awarding body, by a University.

CHS provides an excellent opportunity to create new and exciting teacher training opportunities.

The School plays an active role in the selection of trainees and their development through an extensive CPD programme for staff.
